Sumatra Mandheling is often described as earthy, with an intense herbal aroma. You'll find the flavor is distinctive and unique to the region, flavors not typically found in South American or African coffees. While Sumatra is not very high altitude, growers benefit from the rich volcanic soil and tropical climate.
