This amazing Ethiopian coffee comes to us from farms located high in the mountains, near Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Most coffee farmers in the region consider coffee a main crop as it pays for taxes, school fees, clothes and food items. During the harvest, farmers and their families transport freshly picked coffee cherries down the mountain to the washing station, either by mule or on foot. At the washing station, they ferment the coffee under water for 48 hours, wash and grade it in channels, soak it quickly, skin dry it, then fully dry it on raised beds.(1Lb. bag)
